Our purpose is to provide comprehensive education and hands-on experience in the principles and practices of psychedelic facilitation, positioning graduates to provide ethical and effective psychedelic care.
InnerTrek’s mission is to spark healing and wholeness by preparing facilitators to practice within legal psychedelic therapy and wellness frameworks.
InnerTrek is approved by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Graduates of our Level 2 licensure-track program are eligible for state licensure in both Oregon and Colorado.
InnerTrek offers a three-phase training pathway:
Graduates of Level 1 gain a foundational understanding of the profession, while graduates of Level 2, our full licensure track, are prepared to practice within state-regulated psychedelic care models. Level 3 provides advanced learning and Continuing Education (CE) for practicing facilitators.

InnerTrek Level 1: Introduction to Psychedelic Facilitation
Our foundational eight-week hybrid program is designed for those exploring the field of psychedelic facilitation or preparing for more advanced training.
Through a combination of live online sessions, professionally filmed video classes, and a three-day in-person retreat at the InnerTrek Center for Psilocybin Services, students learn the essential principles of safe, ethical, trauma-informed facilitation.
Level 1 includes a supervised psilocybin experiential, allowing students to observe and participate within Oregon’s state-regulated framework.
Completion of Level 1 training does not make students eligible for licensure. While Level 1 is not a prerequisite for Level 2, it is reviewed favorably during the application process.
Program Start Date: April 7, 2026
“Facilitator training is at the heart of this movement.
This is about competency, community, and preparing professionals
for successful careers as psychedelic service providers.”
– Tom Eckert, InnerTrek’s Founder and architect of Oregon’s Measure 109,
the country’s first state-regulated model of psychedelic care
InnerTrek Level 2: Psychedelic Facilitator Training Program
InnerTrek’s Level 2 licensure-track program is our comprehensive professional training for those preparing to become licensed psilocybin facilitators in Oregon and/or Colorado. With additional states—including New Mexico—developing regulatory frameworks, this program builds the competencies needed to practice safely and adapt within an evolving national psychedelic ecosystem.
This immersive training blends coursework, weekly classes, small-group home sessions, and supervised practicum experiences to support effective, ethical, trauma-informed facilitation.
Graduates are eligible for licensure in Oregon and Colorado and are well-prepared for New Mexico’s 2027 program and other emerging state-regulated models.
Enrollment into Level 2 is competitive, though there are no formal prerequisites. Qualified applicants typically have experience in a helping profession and/or relevant exposure to psychedelic facilitation (beyond personal use). While completing Level 1 is not required, it can be especially valuable for applicants who are newer to the field or who have limited relevant experience.
Program Start Date:
Summer 2026–Early 2027 (TBA)
We encourage early applications for priority consideration.
